Stevie sits down with New Zealand-born saxophonist Andy Bickers for a career-spanning conversation covering Cold Chisel, Midnight Oil, Jimmy Barnes, Don Henley and the Eagles.
As two Kiwis now living in Australia, Stevie and Andy share plenty of stories, memories and laughs about growing up in New Zealand, the live music scene they came from and the journey across the Tasman.
Andy also reflects on life as a session and touring musician, the realities of the road, working with some of the biggest names in music, vintage saxophones, health challenges and rebuilding his playing.

Andy is a saxophone player, originally from New Zealand and now living in Australia.
From NZ bands Backdoor Blues Band, Smokeshop and Netherworld Dancing toys, to a long time association with Midnight Oil, a few Eagles gigs here and there, to just recently coming off the road with Cold Chisel on their 5-0 tour…Andy is a session saxophonist, jazz to the roots but a rock n roll attitude.
